Peter Kirsch will present at the Airport Consultants Council Airport Law Basics for Planners and Engineers webinar on April 1, 2021. The webinar will provide an overview of the unique characteristics of airport law that planners and engineers need to understand. The program will provide a background on federal regulation of airports, the statutory and regulatory scheme that derives from federal funding, and the principles of law that are unique to airport planning, construction and operation. The webinar will also  provide an introduction to principles of revenue use, exclusive rights, non-discrimination, and federal preemption. Participants will receive a thorough, if basic, understanding of how airport law differs from other local government law and how those differences affect planning for and construction of airport projects.
