He has particular expertise on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) matters, including technical issues relating to air quality, transportation, water resources, climate change, noise, and historic and cultural resources.

An active member of the firm’s Native American law and policy group, Wil helps advise tribal clients on a broad range of environmental, land use, and economic development issues, including fee-to-trust acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Wil clerked for Judge Harold E. Kahn and Judge Ethan P. Schulman in the San Francisco Superior Court’s Law and Motion Department.

During law school, Wil helped lead Karuk-Berkeley Collaborative Legal, a joint project of Berkeley Law and the Karuk Tribe that developed strategies to protect the Klamath River and its salmon population.
