President Elect Trump has voluntarily dismissed a lawsuit against Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) in which he sought damages for the impact of overflights on his Mar-a-Lago estate. The Trump estate—which is also a private, members-only club—is located about 2.5 miles and only slightly south of the extended runway centerline of the principal runway at PBIA. This was the fourth lawsuit that the airport proprietor has had to defend in the last 20 years brought by Mr. Trump and his neighbors in Palm Beach, Florida. None of the litigation has resulted in liability for the airport; three have been voluntarily dismissed and one was settled on favorable terms to PBIA. The Firm has successfully represented PBIA in all four lawsuits. A full summary is available on the Palm Beach Post’s website.
