I assist clients in navigating complex litigation, environmental, and health and safety matters, with an emphasis on legal and regulatory issues related to climate, energy, water, transportation, and land contamination.
Evan is committed to serving the communities he represents as they engage in complex litigation and are faced with regulatory issues, with a particular focus on environmental and tribal issues. Evan has counseled clients as they navigate complex environmental matters—through litigation and advising on regulatory matters—under the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resources Conservation and Recovery Act, California Environmental Quality Act, and California’s Extended Producer Responsibility Law, Senate Bill 54. In counseling clients who face difficult environmental issues, Evan’s extensive experience in responding to incidents at client sites and facilities allows him to provide clients with solutions tailored specifically to their unique situation.
Evan also has experience assisting clients navigate complex workplace health and safety matters under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and state equivalents.
Evan’s work at the Firm also focuses on representing tribal interests in litigation and confront complex questions of sovereignty and the environment.
