Navajo Headwaters Conservation Easement

In a transaction that closed late in 2016, Kaplan Kirsch attorneys represented the owners of the Navajo Headwaters Ranch in the conveyance of several conservation easements to Colorado Open Lands.  This transaction was facilitated by The Conservation Fund.  The land is located in the southern San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado.  Our team worked through many issues on behalf of the landowner, including corporate and debt related issues, while taking advantage of the Colorado Conservation Easement Tax Credit.  The result is the permanent protection of this magnificent landscape.
