This morning, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a new version of the Airport Compliance Manual, FAA Order 5190.6C. The Airport Compliance Manual offers the most comprehensive explanation of the FAA’s interpretation of airport sponsors’ federal obligations and the FAA’s enforcement policies. This new version incorporates interim revisions to the Airport Compliance Manual issued by the FAA over the past several years, but appears to make material revisions throughout the document. The FAA has published a Summary of Updates generally describing its revisions to the Airport Compliance Manual. Kaplan Kirsch is reviewing these revisions and intends to make further analysis available.
In the interim, if you have any questions about specific changes to the Airport Compliance Manual, please do not hesitate to reach out to Steven Osit, Nicholas Clabbers, or any other Firm attorney with whom you usually work.
