FRA Extends Deadline for Comments on Proposed System Safety Program Rule

In a notice published in the Federal Register, the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) announced that it has extended the deadline for submitting comments on the proposed rule regarding System Safety Programs that was published on September 7, 2012 at 77 Fed. Reg. 55372. The new deadline for filing comments in Docket No FRA-2011-0060 is December 7, 2012. The FRA took this action due to the widespread disruptions that resulted from the impact of Hurricane Sandy on October 29 and 30, 2012.
