GAO Publishes Preliminary Observations of Potential Air Traffic Control Restructuring Transition Issues

On February 10, 2016, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) published its Preliminary Observations of Potential Air Traffic Control Restructuring Transition Issues. GAO’s findings were based primarily on its discussions with selected experts. The report was immediately cited by Ranking Member DeFazio during the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s hearing on Air Traffic Control reform and is sure to be an important roadmap to the building debate over FAA Reauthorization.
