On April 1, 2011, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 658, the FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2011, by a vote of 223 to 196. The bill would authorize FAA programs and funding through 2014, with roughly $60 billion. The bill is substantially similar to the bill approved in the U.S. Senate in February 2011 (S.223). The matter now goes to a conference committee to reconcile the differences between the bills.
