Sara Mogharabi will moderate the session titled, “States’ Approach to PFAS: Past, Present and Future.” The session will bring together representatives from different state regulators across the country to provdie their perspectives on managing the issue of addressing PFAS-related concerns in our communities at the state level.
Polly Jessen will present at the session titled, “Airport PFAS Management Planning for Operations and Future Development.” This session will cover a wide range of issues that airports can consider as they begin to develop management plans and take action to address PFAS-related concerns, including whether to conduct site investigations; implementing mitigation and containment measures; planning for construction and capital projects; among other actions.
Thursday, April 8
Thomas Bloomfield will present at the session titled, “PFAS Funding and Cost Management Strategies.” The session will cover strategies for pursuing claims against past insurance policies for costs associated with PFAS-related expenses and look ahead to the potential for federal assistance for airports.
