Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell extends hearty congratulations to the Commonwealth of Virginia for the completion of negotiations with CSX Transportation, Inc., Amtrak, and Virginia Railway Express to develop a $3.7 billion project that will transform passenger rail service offerings in Virginia.  The project will involve construction of an additional span across the Potomac River to remove the bottleneck created by the existing Long Bridge, construct massive improvements in track and signals over the rail line between Washington, D.C. and Petersburg, VA.  We are proud to have played a role as part of the strategic advisory team supporting the Commonwealth’s efforts in this transformative project.  Read more about this project on Transforming Rail in Virginia.
