Nicole’s practice is dedicated to protecting and advancing tribal sovereignty and tribal interests. From crafting tribal laws and ordinances to land restoration and economic development, she counsels tribal nations on complex legal issues involving municipal, state, and federal law. By honoring the unique governmental structure, values, history, culture, and goals of each of our clients, her practice centers on tribal self-determination and empowerment.
Nicole Grigg concentrates her practice on Native American law and policy as well as environmental issues, including tribal governance, fee-to-trust transfer, economic development projects, related regulatory proceedings, cultural resource protection, tribal labor and employment, leasing of tribal lands, and litigation.
Nicole counsels clients on all aspects of tribal governance including development of laws and ordinances, compliance with state, federal, and tribal law, government-to-government relations and negotiations, and land restoration.
She also has extensive experience in intellectual property licensing and litigation and assists clients with portfolio management and technology transactions. Nicole also provides IP-related support on commercial transactions involving intellectual property assets.
