Kaplan Kirsch attorneys represented the owner of the Greenland Ranch—a historic, 17,000+ acre working cattle ranch—in updating and consolidating several conservation easements. The easements were subsequently transferred to the Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT). The Greenland Ranch is a significant portion of the open space between the Denver and Colorado Springs metropolitan areas. It was originally conserved in the year 2000. Our attorneys drew on years of experience to assist the landowner with this complex task. The work resulted in strengthened protection for this magnificent landscape.
