Kaplan Kirsch is pleased to congratulate our client, the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), on the September 2020 opening of their entirely new terminal complex. SLC’s unveiling ceremonies provide a glimpse of the beautiful, world-class new facilities that reflect the natural beauty of Utah and Salt Lake City, including a central terminal building and concourses, a new parking garage with a multi-functional connector, new roadways, a new central utility facility and new rental car facilities.
The Firm has served SLC as its disclosure counsel. In that role, our team led by Dave Bannard and including Emily Eads and Suyash Raiborde, worked with SLC to develop the Official Statement for the $850,550,000 Airport Revenue Bonds, Series 2018A and 2018B issued in October 2018 that provided a portion of the funding for the new facilities. We also provide counsel regarding on-going disclosure matters, including the Airport’s award-winning Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, preparation and filing of event notices, developing the strategy and materials for rating agency presentations, and development and filing of voluntary disclosures.
Kaplan Kirsch brings our in-depth knowledge of the airport industry and law applicable to airports, as well as Dave Bannard’s nearly 30 years of experience with public finance and federal securities laws. Good disclosure requires a focus on the issues that are material to an investor and clear descriptions of those issues and the factors that are unique to the airport as well as those that are generic to the industry.
SLC’s exciting and sophisticated project brings to fruition of many, many years of planning, vision and hard work. We celebrate this milestone with SLC!
