Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell represents the City and County of Denver, Colorado, in developing and negotiating the governance structure and framework agreement for expanding and redeveloping the current home of the National Western Stock Show into a new, 270-acre, state-of-the art multipurpose campus. The Firm also represents the City in related rail relocation matters. The framework agreement among the City, Colorado State University, and The Western Stock Show Association establishes how the new National Western Center will be developed and will operate for the next 100 years.
On Tuesday, August 29th, the framework agreement was presented to the Land Use, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee of the Denver City Council. The full Denver City Council is expected to vote in a first reading on September 11 and have a final vote on September 18. The Denver Post, a local CBS news station, and the Denver Business Journal published articles on this 100-year agreement.
