  • FIRM ASSISTS RTD IN ACQUIRING RAILWAY PROPERTY & RIGHTS OF WAY FOR FASTRACKS
    On August 4, 2010 the Regional Transportation District finalized agreements for RTD's purchase of approximately $78 million worth of railroad property and for the construction and relocation of Union Pacific facilities necessary for the FasTracks transit expansion program.   • KAPLAN KIRSCH & ROCKWELL HELPS RTD ACHIEVE CLOSING ON FASTRACKS EAGLE P3 PROJECT
    On August 12, 2010 the Regional Transportation District issued the official Notice to Proceed to Denver Transit Partners (DTP) with the FasTracks Eagle P3 Project, and simultaneously closed on almost $400 million in private activity bonds to help finance the Project.
  • The Firm has served as RTD's local counsel throughout the Eagle P3 Project procurement and financing processes.

  • FIRM ACHIEVES VICTORY IN FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT FOR PASSENGER LOCOMOTIVE SAFETY MEASURES
    On June 30, 2010, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California dismissed all claims filed by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen against firm client the Southern California Regional Rail Authority.
  • The suit had sought to require the removal of video and audio monitoring cameras from the commuter rail agency's locomotives.
