Slone Isselhard represents airport operators, municipalities, and private businesses in the aviation industry on aviation, environmental, regulatory, and contractual matters as a key member of Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell’s Airports practice group.
Slone offers clients inside industry experience, having served as the Assistant Corporation Counsel Supervisor for the City of Chicago, Department of Law, Aviation, Environmental, Regulatory, and Contracts Division.
At the City of Chicago, Slone advised and represented the City on legal matters involving O’Hare and Midway International Airports, including compliance issues with Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Justice (DOJ) regulations. She also drafted and revised City ordinances, rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures for both O’Hare and Midway.
Slone began her career as a litigator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, where she volunteered extensively on pro bono matters, including the Snyder v. Phelps case, in which she co-authored an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of Scholars of the First Amendment.
