Kaplan Kirsch has represented the master developer of the former Stapleton International Airport property since the project’s inception. The site is now a 4,700-acre master planned, mixed-use community. We have advised the master developer on nearly every aspect of its redevelopment. Our work has included project due diligence and ongoing environmental due diligence. We also drafted and negotiated the framework agreements for the project. We remain involved in implementing the real estate purchase agreement. Our ongoing work for the master developer includes:
- Preparing contracts for construction of $650 million in publicly financed infrastructure
- Environmental risk mitigation, disclosure, regulatory compliance, and insurance
- Land use, entitlements, affordable housing, and financing matters
- Commercial and mixed-use resale transactions. On resale transactions, we negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements, restrictive covenants, easements, licenses, and other access agreements. We also coordinate closings.
