Sarah concentrates her practice on representing airport clients on a wide range of issues arising under federal law that touch on airport sponsors’ regulatory, transactional, and litigation requirements. She has significant experience negotiating and drafting use and lease agreements and advising clients in connection with the myriad of related issues that often arise during these complex negotiations. Sarah regularly represents sponsors in other airport development and transactional matters, including airport service providers, concessions, and construction agreements. She also counsels clients in connection with their federal regulatory obligations on a range of matters and drafts policies and procedures for airport operations and management.
Prior to joining Kaplan Kirsch, Sarah served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago Department of Law in the Aviation, Environmental, Regulatory & Contracts Division. While with the City of Chicago, she advised the Chicago Department of Aviation, the sponsor of Chicago O’Hare International and Midway International Airports. Her work included various operational and legal matters including developing rules and regulations, drafting license and lease agreements for a variety of airport users, and addressing disputes between airport tenants and labor unions.
