After more than 45 years of disputes, much litigation and occasional short-term peace deals between the Bob Hope Airport and the City of Burbank, the airport proprietor and the City have announced a conceptual agreement on the outline for a permanent deal that will resolve all outstanding issues between the community and the Airport, will allow for construction of a replacement passenger terminal, and will restructure the governance of the airport sponsor to give greater community influence.  The conceptual deal, which is still subject to numerous hurdles, including environmental review and voter approval, is described in this Los Angeles Daily News article.
