Ninth Circuit Strikes Down FAA Flight Procedure Changes at Los Angeles International Airport

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of our client, the City of Los Angeles deciding that the FAA violated three key environmental laws when it changed flight patterns in 2018 for aircraft arriving at LAX over Central Los Angeles. As a result of the Court’s decision, the FAA must now undertake the proper environmental analysis that should have taken place prior to implementing these changes.  Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell lawyers Nate Hunt, Sam Caravello and Peter Kirsch were proud to have represented the City in this critical litigation.
